I love Lull, and the concept, but I have a question. Why would you want the lamp to open up and light up at Sunrise? The sun should already take care of that, and why would you like it to turn off at sundown. Aren't lamps (lighting products) meant to be used when the sun is down?

And also can you make it so that it doesn't open up or close based on the sun. It would be nice if it came with a clock allowing the owner to set a time at which the lamp will open and close.

Hi Paula! Thank you for your comments! We have developed the lamp here in Norway where its, during the summer months, because of the midnight sun, can stay light outside both day and night. During the winter, some parts of Norway only have light outside a couple of hours a day. Accordingly, the sun doesn't always fit the rythm of your life. Still, light is very much influencing the behaviour of our body. If you choose to use blinds for your windows, in order to keep the lights out when you are sleeping, it will still be dark when you're awakening. Not if you are using Lull! With Lull you choose yourself what time you want it to close and get dark and what time you want it to be switched on and open, regardless the behavior of the sun. The lamp is equipped with a timer that you adjust to your own or your childs rythm. Hope this was helpful!

Hi David! The lamp is still only a concept, and has not reached production yet. We will send e-mails to those of you who are interested when we know more about this.

Hei på dere. endelig har noen laget noe som får Louis Poulsen til å snu seg i graven, vel å merke av beundring! ( mannen bak PH-lampene, vet dere) Den bare MÅ i produksjon snarest. Mvh Jostein Næsheim

For those wanting to buy a light like this there already exists multiple so-called "wakeuplights". Not with the neat flower-based design like this but there exists a lot of clocks that will dim/light up based on a timer which will make you wake up better (light stimulates certain hormones before you wake up)

I am sorry to hear this beautiful light is not in production but when it is...I will be right there to purchase it! I have two suggestions, when you begin production, try not to make it too expensive. People will be ordering from all over and shipping costs can be expensive! :). Also, creating them in different colors would be a wonderful touch. Just like the different colors of real flowers. :) I will be waiting patiently for production to begin.
